Spicy Bruschetta

This is a delicious and easy throw together. Obviously I left the seeds in because These Guys like their food extra spicy. This recipe is great as a snack, side dish, or just something great to munch on. Here’s what you do:

Get yourself:

3 tomatoes-diced

2 jalapeno peppers -finely diced

basil -about 10-15 leaves (a good amount)- chopped

5 cloves garlic-minced

Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes

Mix everything together and enjoy!

Note: This recipe is particularly spicy. If you want a more medium heat I would recommend one jalapeno. However, if you want this to blow your mouth off I suggest you leave the seeds IN the jalapeno.

Clean Up on Aisle 4

That guy made some delicious Sloppy Joe’s. (Recipe adapted from Rachel Ray)

Sloppy Joe’s:

Tablespoon of olive oil
One pound ground beef
Quarter cup Brown sugar
One tablespoon meat seasoning
Small to medium onion finely diced
Tablespoon red wine vinegar
Tablespoon worschestire sauce(please note that there are kashrut concerns with mixing meat and fish. Be sure to get a brand of sauce that does not contain fish. The best way to make 100% sure is to check the ingredients)
Two cups tomato sauce
Two tablespoons tomato paste
Garlic powder
Toasted rolls

How to cook like one of These Guys:
Heat olive oil in skillet and add in ground beef. Mix together sugar and meat seasoning and add to meat. Add onions and mix. Cook until meat has browned. Turn to medium heat. Add garlic powder, vinegar, and worschestire sauce. Let cook for a few minutes. Add tomato sauce and paste turn up heat to cook off extra water and reduce. Once the Joe’s are the right “sloppy” consistency turn off heat and serve over toasted buns (hehehe – buns 🙂 )

Enjoy!
